FULL TIME TECHNICIAN

Job description
Handi-House, a leader in the retailing of mobility aids and home health care, is seeking a full-time technician who will provide outstanding technical service for our customers in the greater Ottawa area. We sell, service and rent walkers, wheelchairs and other home health care products.
Knowledge of mobility aids is not essential. Training will be provided and the successful candidate will work with our other technicians to acquire the technical skills necessary to succeed. The ideal candidate will possess basic technical skills and be capable of making repairs, be well-organized and efficient and receive fulfillment from helping others.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform repairs of mobility aids such as walkers, wheelchairs, power wheelchairs
• Receive new stock and build new equipment
• Work with our field representatives in assessing the needs of our customers, family members, therapists, hospitals, retirement homes and long-term care facilities
• Deliver and set up equipment to customers with the use of a company vehicle
A valid driver’s license, clean driving record and computer literacy are essential.
